Job Description:

Join a dedicated Pre-Op holding unit at Wesley Medical Center as a Travel RN specializing in perioperative care. This assignment offers the chance to work in a well-equipped, high-volume setting handling Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and SDS patients, as well as assisting with preoperative procedures like surgery prep, endoscopy, cath lab, and outpatient infusions. You will be responsible for managing patient care in a 9-bed Pre-Op and 5-bed recovery unit with a patient ratio of 1:3, utilizing equipment such as Pyxis systems, GE MACVU EKG, Doppler, and bladder scanners. The role involves 12-hour day shifts engaging in detailed preoperative and recovery activities, providing an opportunity to hone your skills while working alongside experienced staff. This assignment is uniquely engaging for nurses eager to be part of a high-paced, technologically advanced environment where your expertise in Phase 2 recovery and ACLS/BLS will shine.
