Job Description:

Join our neuro med-surg team in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week travel assignment on a dedicated neuroscience unit. This role involves managing patients with stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, and head injuries. You will work night shifts, providing specialized care in a 54-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night. You’ll be responsible for titrating heparin drips, troubleshooting RT equipment, and monitoring telemetry systems, all in a hospital setting that values your expertise and experience in neuroscience and trauma care. Expect a busy but rewarding environment where your previous travel experience and trauma skills will truly shine. Be prepared to work with a charge nurse and house supervisor on duty, with support from nurse aides and telemetry techs. The role includes orientation, guaranteed hours, and the opportunity to work in a facility that emphasizes safe, effective nursing practices while respecting your skills and autonomy.
