Job Description:

Join our team as a PACU Registered Nurse in La Plata, Maryland, and experience a 13-week contract working four 10-hour shifts per week. This role focuses on recovering pediatric and adult patients following general, orthopedic, GYN, vascular, pediatric dentistry, and ENT surgeries. You'll coordinate closely with anesthesia staff in Phase 1 & 2 recovery areas, handling pediatric dental procedures, tonsillectomies, T&A, and PE Tubes cases. The schedule includes rotating start times between 08:00 and 19:30, with weekend on-call shifts, providing a balanced work and recovery environment—no two days are exactly the same! Your expertise will ensure safe transitions for ICU recoveries and facilitate patient care after a variety of surgical procedures. This role offers a unique glimpse into the fast-paced recovery setting—think of yourself as the last stop before patients head home or to ICU. You’ll work in a specialized environment that values attention to detail and teamwork, with the chance to bring your skills in ICU or PACU to a rewarding setting.
