Job Description:

Join a busy ICU unit that combines MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU into one dynamic environment split into pods. In this role, you'll manage complex ICU patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-surgical, and trauma cases. Expect to work closely with surgical, cardiac (preferred but not mandatory), neuro, and trauma patients, often in high-acuity situations. The unit predominantly uses Epic for charting and requires experienced RN staff comfortable with ventilator management, hemodynamic lines, proning, and IV medications like vasopressors and sedatives. This assignment emphasizes teamwork and critical thinking, with RN ratios ranging up to 1:3 depending on patient acuity. You will not float into CVICU unless very experienced, maintaining focus on ICU-specific care that includes managing heavy trauma loads and cardiac patients, with some experience needed in Impella, IABP, or CRRT. The role offers a structured 48-hour week schedule in a fast-paced setting, perfect for seasoned ICU RNs eager to deepen their critical care expertise in a supportive environment where mentoring students may also be part of your responsibilities.
