Job Description:

Join a specialized Neuro Medical Surgical unit in Wilmington, North Carolina, for an engaging 13-week contract as a Registered Nurse. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts on a unit that emphasizes teamwork and patient safety. You'll be caring for patients with a variety of neuro-related diagnoses, utilizing systems like Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR to ensure precise medication administration and effective communication. Prior neuro experience is preferred, but motivated first-time travelers with minimum two years of medical-surgical experience are welcome. The unit operates with a patient nurse ratio of 1:6, and the schedule requires working 5-6 weekends over the course of the assignment. Expect to float as needed and be prepared for possible requirements during disaster responses. This is a fast-paced, skill-driven role suited for nurses who thrive in challenging environments and aim to broaden their neuro-critical care expertise.
