Job Description:

Join the anesthesia team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for a 13-week contract that offers a mix of day shifts in a busy operating room environment. As an experienced Anesthesia RN, you'll support a wide range of surgical specialties across 21 ORs, including cardiothoracic procedures, trauma cases, and elective surgeries. You'll assist anesthesiologists with complex procedures such as intubations, central line placements, and arterial lines, ensuring smooth anesthesia delivery in a fast-paced setting. This role also involves managing conscious sedation, operating equipment like Belmont and Cell Saver, and providing vital support during heart surgeries and traumas. The position offers opportunities to refine your skills in an environment that values resilience, adaptability, and critical thinking. Be prepared for on-call shifts that include overnight call, back-up shifts, weekends, and holidays, with response times critical to patient safety. A vehicle is required due to the response time requirements, and prior travel experience is preferred to help you hit the ground running. This assignment is a unique chance to work with a dedicated anesthesia team supporting high-stakes procedures in a community hospital setting.
