Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers OR nurses the opportunity to work in a busy surgical setting in Winnemucca, Nevada. You'll be assisting in a variety of cases, including general, orthopedic, urology, OB, GYN, and cardiology, with the chance to expand your skills in endoscopy and cardiology procedures. The role involves circulating in the operating room, scrub duties, and occasionally floating between Pre-op and PACU departments. Expect to handle anywhere from zero to twelve cases a day, with the flexibility to work on low census days by assisting with departmental tasks or supplies. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM, with rotating call responsibilities including one weeknight and one weekend per month, plus holiday rotations. You'll need to be comfortable with Cerner EMR and scrubbing, and experience in orthopedics, especially total joints, is required. The position does not include charge nurse or house supervisor responsibilities, but offers a chance to refine your circulating skills in a dynamic procedure environment.
