Job Description:

Join this stepdown unit in Morgantown, WV, for a 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role involves managing a diverse cardiac patient population, including heart failure, cardiac surgery, and med-surg cases. The position requires proficiency in EPIC, ACLS, and NIHSS, with a preference for experience in cardiac care and titrating drips such as Heparin, insulin, and nitro. You’ll be working with a dedicated charge nurse and clinical associates, overseeing patient ratios around 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5 or 6 on the floor. Tele monitor techs use Phillips monitors, and RTs are available for ventilated patients. Self-scheduling is allowed, with a typical weekend schedule of Friday through Sunday nights and holiday shifts covered. The unit is well-staffed, with a focus on quality care and efficient teamwork.
