Job Description:

Join our healthcare team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Wilmington, North Carolina. You'll work six nights a week, 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, providing care to adult and geriatric patients with general med/surg diagnoses. This role involves managing heparin drips, wound care, wound vacs, and high-flow oxygen, with occasional support for BiPap respiratory procedures. You'll be part of an Inclement Weather Team, which could mean working during storms or disasters, and you'll be expected to be flexible with floating to similar units as needed. The position requires at least two years of experience and EPIC system knowledge, including the ability to administer insulin and heparin drips. Proper certifications such as BCLS are mandatory, and passing an EKG test is required prior to starting. As a night charge nurse, you'll handle a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 and may be assigned to every other weekend and holidays. This assignment is ideal for nurses ready for a busy, fast-paced environment that values adaptability and quick thinking. Please note, RTO (time-off requests) are limited to 7 days, and work during inclement weather, including hurricanes, is expected.
