Job Description:

Join a dedicated labor and delivery unit in Cooperstown, NY, supporting a busy maternity service as a travel nurse during a 13-week assignment. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule, with shifts rotating between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. The position is vital in assisting a team comprised of experienced RNs and new graduates, many of whom are gaining specialized OB skills. You'll be instrumental in caring for mothers and their newborns in a setting that features private labor rooms, postpartum spaces, and operating rooms for Caesarean deliveries. Candidates with at least three years of OB experience or relevant specialized travel experience are preferred. Certifications required include BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring. The assignment demands a weekly commitment of approximately 36 hours and an overall total of 1213 weeks. Holiday work is expected, with rotations similar to full-time staff, including every other holiday, based on unit needs.
