Job Description:

This travel opportunity places you in a Level II trauma PICU within a newly opened facility, where you'll be responsible for caring for critically ill pediatric patients with diverse conditions—from respiratory issues like high flow therapy, CPAP, and BiPAP to complex surgical cases involving g-tubes, trachs, and post-operative care. Expect to work every other weekend on 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), providing specialized nursing interventions such as ventilator management, trach care, chest tubes, epidurals, and CRRT with Prismax. Your skills will ensure smooth patient transitions from surgery to discharge, with a focus on high-acuity cases including trauma, congenital heart defects, and oncology. The role offers a balanced challenge for first-time travelers, with opportunities to work in a vibrant, supportive environment that values your expertise in pediatric intensive care. Experience in PICU settings, along with current BLS and PALS certifications, are required, and familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred.
