Job Description:

Step into a primary inpatient acute care role as an Occupational Therapy (OT) traveler supporting a short term acute care teaching facility in St. Louis, MO. In this contract, you’ll help develop and carry out treatment plans that consider discharge needs, expected functional progress, and the right equipment and supplies to support recovery goals. You’ll also collaborate closely with patients, families, and the broader care team—educating, conferencing, and making recommendations for referrals when appropriate.

This assignment offers an engaging schedule: Monday through Friday, typically 07:00–15:30 (start time may be flexible up to 08:00), with one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required during a 4-week period—paired with a day off during that applicable week. You may also float within therapy service lines as needed to meet facility needs, staying within scope.

If you enjoy working across a variety of OT populations, and you’re comfortable in acute care—preferred to include level one trauma hospital experience—you’ll fit right in. Expect EPIC charting and tools including SPH equipment, vital carts, iPad interpreter support, and ADL supplies.

Weather:

Expect a mix of comfortable days and cooler evenings, with occasional rain and fluctuating humidity typical of the region. Layering is helpful, since temperatures can shift throughout the day.
