Job Description:

Join an IMC/MS stepdown unit where cardiovascular surgical care and cardiology services come together—covering cardiothoracic surgery and cardiovascular surgery patients, along with a range of IMC/MS admissions such as CABG, femoral bypass, thoracotomy/VATS, and CEA. In this travel role, you’ll work night shifts performing telemetry-focused stepdown nursing with an IMC/MS patient mix that frequently includes CHF exacerbation, symptomatic or nonsymptomatic bradycardia, dysrhythmias (including Afib/Aflutter and SVT), temporary/external pacemaker care, and hemo/pneumothorax patients.

Shift structure is 3x12 hours at night, using Epic for charting. You’ll be expected to float within scope to sister facilities as needed, and the unit supports clinicians who can maintain a 1:4 patient ratio. This assignment also includes required credentials for IMC/MS stepdown work, including BLS, ACLS, and an EKG course/telemetry test, along with NIHSS.

Weather:

Expect warm days with plenty of sunshine, with nights that can feel noticeably cooler. Conditions are generally comfortable, though occasional breezes and brief weather changes are possible.
