Job Description:

Step into a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse travel role with a focus on specialized neuro monitoring and post-neurosurgery care within a comprehensive stroke center in Charlotte, North Carolina. This assignment runs on 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15) with a shift pattern designed for deep, focused work—36 hours per week, with weekend rotation every other weekend. You’ll support care for a neuroscience-heavy case mix including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes/SAH, SDH, seizures, craniotomies, carotid procedures, aneurysm coiling/clipping, and conditions requiring advanced neuro tools and drains.

What makes this role unique: you’ll routinely work with neuro-specific equipment and procedures such as EVDs and lumbar drains (LDs), ICP monitoring (including Camino), continuous IV sedation, ventilated patient management, and stroke-focused interventions. Strong experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management is essential, along with skills in central line care/management, blood product administration, and isolation precautions/PPE use. The unit requires a minimum of 2 years of true Neuro ICU experience—stroke patient volume is a defining part of the day-to-day.
