Job Description:

Work a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment where high-volume care and rapid decision-making are part of the daily rhythm. This travel contract is for an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse who can comfortably handle high-birth volume (over 300 births per month) and knows how to manage double labor assignments, which occur regularly on the unit.

In this role, you’ll circulate for procedures, perform sterile vaginal exams, and manage immediate newborn care. You’ll collaborate within a team setting using unit systems including PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR, while caring for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater and also supporting high-risk antepartum and postpartum needs, including triage screening and routine outpatient procedures performed before admission. The unit performs scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage, so adaptability matters.

If you’re looking for a contract that keeps you engaged—night shift, high acuity, and consistently busy—this assignment is built for nurses who thrive in high-volume settings.

Weather:

Expect generally mild to warm conditions with a mix of sunny days and occasional rain. Evenings can feel cooler, so layering is helpful when you’re heading out after a shift.
