Job Description:

Step into a high-acuity ICU travel contract in Kearney, Nebraska, supporting complex adult cases with a strong emphasis on cardiac and advanced critical care. In this 12-hour nights role, you’ll care for patients with open-heart recovery (including Day 2/Day 3 post-op CABGs), CHF, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke presentations—supporting the unit’s TeleStroke workflows as needed. If you’re experienced with cardiac support, you’ll use skills like IABP and Impella, and you’ll also encounter CRRT as part of the care plan. This assignment is ideal for ICU professionals who are comfortable floating to PCU and Med Surg based on census (with travelers expected to float first).

You’ll be part of a team known for solid coordination and dependable coverage, with scheduling set around unit needs (including weekend coverage). Training and required certifications matter here: BLS, ACLS, and PALS for all; Peds experience is highly preferred. The unit also expects comfort with stroke assessment (NIHSS) and compliance with active licensing requirements.
