Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced Adult Surgical unit in Lebanon, New Hampshire, supporting a Level I–style trauma and acute care surgical case mix through a 13-week contract. This role runs 12-hour nights on a 48 hrs/week schedule (36.0 hours per week), with an evening rhythm built around a busy surgical floor where your day is measured by what you set up, monitor, and coordinate for patients with trauma and acute surgical diagnoses.

You’ll work with adult surgical patients facing traumas such as spinal cord injuries (including new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic injuries from trauma—as well as acute surgical cases including hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy. The unit also includes two negative pressure rooms that may be used to care for COVID populations.

This assignment is known for its pace and intensity, but it’s also where you’ll find a clear focus: keeping rehabilitation and acute support moving forward while maintaining safe, detail-oriented care. If you’ve handled complex lines, drains, and post-surgical support—and you’re comfortable with chest tubes, trach/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, and common infusion drips like diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone—this is a strong match.

Minimum experience: 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience. Prefer Level I trauma experience, though multiple years at a Level II trauma center is acceptable.
