Job Description:

Join a nicotine-free healthcare facility and bring your skills to a role that keeps every week interesting. This Physical Therapist travel assignment splits time between an Acute Inpatient Unit and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), giving you the chance to work with patients across different rehabilitation needs and care settings.

You’ll deliver evidence-based physical therapy that supports functional progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help maintain high-quality therapy outcomes across both environments. The assignment also includes nicotine/cotinine screening requirements—drug reports must show negative results for nicotine/cotinine. If a positive result occurs and you have a legitimate prescription for a nicotine patch, it will be submitted for review; otherwise, the contract will be cancelled.

What makes this position unique is the mix of acute inpatient rehabilitation and SNF-focused therapy during a consistent 10-hour day schedule, with floating between settings based on unit needs.

Requirements: DPT from an accredited program; active California Physical Therapist licensure (or eligibility); current CPR/BLS; experience in neurological rehabilitation or acute inpatient care preferred; geriatric rehabilitation/SNF experience preferred.

Expect mild, coastal-influenced weather with comfortable daytime temperatures and occasional cool evenings. Conditions are often breezy and generally pleasant, with limited extremes.
