Job Description:

Join the Special Procedures team as a Radiology Special Procedures Technologist providing imaging for the direct results of radiologist interpretation. In this travel contract, you’ll follow established protocols under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, assist with procedures as needed, and support day-to-day workflow by ensuring correct written orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system. You’ll also be responsible for the supervision of assigned student radiologic technologists, helping maintain smooth operations and high-quality procedure execution.

Your assignment includes radiation protection practices using ALARA principles, efficient use of imaging equipment to minimize repeat examinations, and proactive patient prep and instruction related to imaging procedures (including assisting with informed consent as needed). You’ll float to other facilities as required and participate in an on-call rotation (one week every 4th week), making this role ideal for an experienced IR/Hybrid OR technologist who can confidently support special procedures across locations.

Expect warm, humid conditions with the occasional afternoon rain. Evenings are typically pleasant, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor time between showers.

Job Specifics:

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Shift: 8-hour days (Mon–Fri; 7:00a–3:30p or 7:30a–4:00p), with floating to other facilities as needed
