Job Description:

Step into a high-acuity Emergency Department role supporting a Level III Trauma, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Chest Pain Center within a teaching hospital. This travel contract is built around 12-hour nights, where you’ll manage and respond to a wide range of presentations—trauma (including GSW/stabbing/MVA), stroke and heart failure/chest pain evaluations, and time-sensitive care requiring interventions such as conscious sedation support, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and appropriate handling of critical care drips and blood administration. You’ll also be preparing for and participating in care workflows tied to cardiac cath pre-processes and caring for patients with complex medical concerns such as COPD, respiratory illnesses, GI disorders and infections, liver failure, and AKI/CKD.

As a Resource Team ED RN, you’ll be part of a staffing model designed for RN coverage up to 1:5 max ratio (acuity dependent). Expect to work alongside ED physicians, 24/7 support teams, and an environment using EPIC and Alaris infusion pumps, with Omnicell for medication dispensing. Floating may be required within the region based on unit needs, and you’ll remain on the clock if mid-shift travel is necessary between facilities.
