Job Description:

Step into a high-acuity Labor & Delivery RN contract at a Level 4 maternal center in Austin, where your day is built around supporting complex deliveries and time-sensitive care in a busy 3rd-floor acute setting. This seasonal contract runs for 13 weeks on a consistent 12-hour day shift (7:00A–7:00P) with no on-call required, making it ideal for travelers who want focused scheduling and real unit momentum.

You’ll be part of a team that averages about 10 staff on weekdays and 7 staff on weekends, including a charge nurse, unit clerk, and the surgical team support needed for procedures. The work centers on circulating duties in high-risk maternal scenarios and triage-style responsibilities, with the unit performing a mix of vaginal and cesarean deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage procedures, D&C, and cases including C-hyst and PASD.

To match the flow of the unit, you should be comfortable multitasking, keeping pace in fast-moving moments, and switching priorities quickly while working as a true team player.
