Job Description:

Join this rewarding labor and delivery (L&D) nursing contract in Renton, WA, and experience performing vital roles in a busy maternity ward. As a traveler, you'll circulate in the OR and assist with managing active labor, postpartum care, and common obstetric conditions like gestational hypertension and GDM. The role features 12-hour night shifts, providing an engaging schedule that allows you to explore the city by day. The unit is equipped with advanced ultrasound systems such as Obix, and you will work alongside dedicated surgical techs and on-call OB/Neonatologists and anesthesiologists. This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your obstetric skills, including titrating IV drips like Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, with full support from experienced staff. Be prepared to uphold strict certification requirements (NRP, BLS, ACLS) and follow AWHONN guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality care. This assignment offers a comprehensive exposure to high-volume births, with approximately 25 deliveries daily, in a supportive environment where your expertise makes a real difference.
