Job Description:

Step into a respiratory therapist (RRT) contract that keeps you at the center of neurologic and trauma-focused diagnostics. This role supports a Level 2 trauma center setting with interventional stroke certification and a Level 3 NICU where that unit also serves as the regional transport resource. You’ll manage non-invasive ventilation and conventional ventilation, deliver aerosol therapy, perform bedside pulmonary function testing (including spirometry when available), and support advanced diagnostics with arterial lines, arterial blood gases and capillary blood gases. You may also draw from lines and perform oxygen management to match each patient’s immediate needs.

Work nights on a consistent 12-hour schedule and join a team using tools like Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, and Viasys Vela / GE Carescape / VyaSYS Avea. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of RRT experience with trauma experience required, but first-timers are accepted. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and a Georgia RRT license are required. Expect floating within the facility and to the sister campus (Piedmont Columbus Northside) as needed.

A manageable RTO is expected (maximum 7 days), blackout dates apply, and you may be scheduled to work major holidays depending on the assignment window.

Expect warm days and mild nights, with occasional rain showers. Humidity is often present, so light layers and flexible plans for changing weather will serve you well.
