Job Description:

Travel as a Registered Nurse for an Intensive Care Unit contract in Cortez, Colorado, providing advanced care across a wide-ranging ICU patient mix that may include DKA, cardiac, sepsis, surgical presentations, and high-risk decline. This assignment offers 12-hour nights with a consistent weekly schedule, placing you at the center of fast-moving, high-acuity work where telemetry and advanced cardiac monitoring are part of daily practice.

You’ll manage assignments in an ICU setting with typical ratio expectations of 2:1 for ICU-status patients, supporting safe workflow and accurate documentation while using EMAR (including medication scanning and armband scanning). The role also includes supervision of non-professional staff, assisting physicians during rounds and procedures, and helping maintain continuity of care through timely updates and thorough charting.

Day-to-day highlights include interpreting basic arrhythmia information, responding to changes in workload, and contributing to drills and in-services. If you enjoy mastering ICU skills—think ventilator/BiPAP support, rapid sequence intubation, rapid infusers, CVP and A-line monitoring—this contract is built for you (and yes, you’ll feel that “night-shift momentum” on every shift).
