Job Description:

Step into a 3West Cardiac role in Chattanooga, supporting night shift workflow for a busy Main-3rd floor unit known for telemetry-driven care and hands-on problem solving. This travel healthcare contract is a 12-hour nights assignment across a 13-week duration, averaging 36 hours per week.

You will apply cardiac fundamentals with a focus on telemetry documentation, rhythm recognition, and required bedside routines (including bedside and hourly rounding with 5Ps). Expect a unit workflow that includes established equipment such as Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, and Philips Telemetry with MP2s, with Meditech-HCA (version) supporting your documentation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include telemetry application documentation each shift, acknowledging rhythm strips and placing them in the chart, and staying ready for common unit procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs as needed. Experience with cardiac medication drips is important—heparin, diltiazem (Cardizem), dobutamine, dopamine, and amiodarone—along with ACLS/BLS readiness (ACLS required).

Scheduling runs on an every-other-weekend rhythm (4 weekend shifts across a 4-week schedule), and floating may include other M/S areas such as general M/S, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), and M/S surgical with oncology, with rotation based on skill mix needs.
