Job Description:
Step into a travel Nuclear Medicine technologist role in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where your day-to-day work centers on imaging across inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases. You’ll handle cardiac and general studies, including SPECT CT, and support PET workflows that run as an independent operation. The department typically staffs 2–3 techs per day for daily volumes, while PET coverage is commonly 1 tech per day with dedicated daily patient slots.
This assignment is especially unique for the way it evolves: during the second half of the contract, you’ll rotate into PET scanning at a nearby cancer center location (about 1 mile away). Expect a structured 12-hour orientation to learn the flow, and be ready for a mix of study types including PET scans and DAT scans. You’ll work alongside the department supervisor and other nuclear medicine technologists, using systems such as EPIC (preferred) and PACS tools like McKesson (preferred), with GE equipment experience (GE 850 preferred).
A successful traveler here brings NM fundamentals and practical experience with starting IVs, familiarity with GE equipment, and comfort supporting both cardiac and general imaging routines.
Weather:
Expect a mix of mild to cool conditions with occasional breezes off nearby Lake Michigan, plus changing cloud cover and light precipitation at times.
Fun Things To Do:
- Explore HarborPark and the lakefront walkways in Kenosha
- Visit Simmons Island Beach for a relaxing day by the water
- Day trip: Milwaukee’s Lakefront and the Milwaukee Public Museum
