Job Description:

A traveling Registered Nurse is needed to support an ED Holding Unit in Wilmington, NC. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within the Emergency Department's inpatient holding area, where you'll manage adult medical and surgical patients awaiting transfer to inpatient beds. Expect to monitor both MS/Tele cases and float between ED and MedSurg areas as needed. The overnight shift runs 12 hours, with a rapid-paced environment that requires proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias, managing complex medical devices, and responding swiftly to patient needs. This position emphasizes skills like colostomy and feeding tube care, blood product administration, and PPE precautions. No RTO allows after booking, and the assignment involves working in a high-acuity, mixed patient population, providing an engaging challenge for seasoned tele nurses seeking a new setting.
