Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract offers an engaging opportunity for registered nurses with at least 18 months of MedSurg/Tele experience. The role is based at a non-teaching Level 3 Trauma hospital in Shelby, NC, renowned for its certified Chest Pain and Stroke Centers. You will work 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) in a fast-paced environment focused on cardiac, respiratory, and neuro patient care. Expect to interpret cardiac rhythms, manage non-titrating cardiac drips like Cardizem or Amiodarone, and handle general medical-surgical duties including care of tubes and drains, IV starts, and wound dressing changes. The unit maintains patient ratios of approximately 1:5-6, with surge staffing potentially increasing this to 1:7-8, ensuring dynamic teamwork while delivering quality patient care. Floating within the region may be required, and travelers will be supported by a team of CNAs, charge nurses, and 24/7 specialist staff. This assignment is ideal for those who thrive in a busy, supportive environment and have experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems.
