Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you in the cardiac step-down unit at a busy hospital, primarily managing post-procedural cardiac patients. You'll be working 12-hour night shifts, providing care for patients recovering from cath lab procedures, cardiac surgeries, and managing complex arrhythmias. Your responsibilities include titrating medications like Nitroglycerin and Heparin, monitoring telemetry strips via a centralized system, and assisting with chest pain management. The role offers a chance to hone your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to critical patient recovery. Expect to coordinate with RTs for respiratory support and handle a patient load approximately 4-6 patients per nurse during night hours, with a supportive team that includes nurse aides, charge nurses, and a dedicated telemetry monitoring team.
