Job Description:

This postpartum nursing contract places you in Unit 5N, where you'll support mothers following vaginal and C-section deliveries. Expect to handle IV antibiotics, magnesium infusions, PRBCs, and postpartum hemorrhage cases, all while using specialized equipment like blood pressure monitors, IV pumps, and Panda warmers. The shifts are 12-hour rotating days, every other weekend, and every other major holiday, offering a balanced yet engaging schedule. You will participate in a hospital-wide orientation before starting on your unit, and scrub attire is provided. This role provides a hands-on experience with new mothers and their newborns in a setting that emphasizes acute postpartum care. Local travel preferences are considered, and a positive mindset towards first-time travelers is welcome.
