Job Description:

Join a busy orthopedic unit in Peoria, Illinois, for an engaging 13-week travel RN assignment. This role involves providing postoperative surgical care and managing a diverse range of medical-surgical patients, including trauma cases with fractures and post-op orthopedic patients. You will work 12-hour night shifts, caring for patients in 43 private rooms, with nurse-to-patient ratios averaging 1:4-5. The assignment features a local rate benefit, and orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable time. As a crucial team member, you’ll collaborate with charge RNs, nurse aides, and telemetry staff, troubleshooting equipment like CPAP and high-flow ventilators. This is a hands-on role that offers a chance to sharpen your skills in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on surgical recovery and trauma management.
