Job Description:

This step-down registered nurse position offers a focused opportunity to work with cardiac post-op patients, including those recovering from CABG and valve surgeries. You'll be managing patients in Miami Valley Hospital's 36-bed unit, supporting complex cases such as thoracotomies, pneumothorax, and advanced cardiac care with telemetry monitoring. The role involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring 48 hours per week over a 13-week contract. As a travel nurse here, you'll often be the first to float to various specialties within the health system, including high-risk respiratory and COVID units. This assignment is ideal for nurses with prior experience in Step Down or PCU settings with a 1:5 ratio background, comfortable interpreting cardiac strips, and passing online competencies in EKG tele assessments. A proactive approach to patient care, with the flexibility to work every other weekend or holiday, is essential.
