Job Description:

This traveling nursing opportunity places you in a 11-bed ICU and Telemetry unit in Gillette, Wyoming, where you will handle a diverse patient population, including ventilated patients, post-cardiac cath, and trauma cases. Your role involves utilizing Meditec charting, bedside medication verification, and working with sophisticated equipment such as Phillips monitors, IV pumps, and transvenous pacers. You'll be expected to care for patients of all ages, including occasional pediatric cases like RSV and DKA, with a focus on critical care procedures and monitoring. The assignment offers rotating or straight 12-hour shifts over a 13-week period, with a commitment of 36 hours per week, and the possibility of occasional call shifts. Prepare to bring at least 6 months of ICU experience and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC to the team. The unit emphasizes hands-on orientation, including three shifts with ICU RNs, and supports a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2 or 3 to 1. Comfort with high-acuity care and equipment is essential to thrive in this role.
