Job Description:

Step into a Surgical ICU travel RN contract in Wichita, Kansas, where your nights are built around high-acuity cases and hands-on critical care technology. This 12-hour night shift (7P–7A) places you on the unit supporting surgical ICU workflows, including trauma patients, post-CABG recovery, and other post-surgical ICU needs. You’ll work with equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia management, and ECMO—paired with an established Meditech EMR environment. Expect a schedule of 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts, and join a team structure that keeps the unit running smoothly with charge leadership and consistent staffing.

You’ll bring at least 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience, along with ACLS, BLS, and NIH, to match the typical hiring profile. TNCC and prior travel experience to large trauma facilities are preferred. The work is fast-paced and detail-driven—so you’ll thrive when you’re organized, efficient, and steady under pressure. One unique touch: nights here are geared toward supporting post-procedure recovery and complex monitoring, making each shift a purposeful, focused stretch of critical care nursing.
