Job Description:

This CVICU Registered Nurse position involves providing specialized care for adult cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU setting. The role offers an engaging opportunity to work with advanced cardiac procedures such as open-heart surgeries, ECMO, Impella, and IABP. The nurse will manage complex patient cases, assist with bedside surgical procedures, and utilize a range of sophisticated equipment including CRRT, ultrasound, Phillips monitors, and Dopplers. Expect to float within the ICU, PCU floors, ED, and PACU as needed. The shift is scheduled over three 12-hour nights, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, and requires certification in ACLS and BLS, with a minimum of two years of CVICU experience. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply for this challenging yet rewarding assignment that emphasizes advanced cardiac care in a busy Level I Trauma teaching hospital.
