Job Description:

This RN contract opportunity places you on the MedSurg/Telemetry units of a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital in Macon, Georgia. You'll be working 12-hour night shifts for a total of 36 hours per week over a 13-week period. The role involves managing a diverse mix of inpatient cases, including patients with acute or chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, and electrolyte imbalances. Cardiac patients post-cath, CHF, and a-fib, as well as general, ortho, and trauma post-surgical patients, are part of your daily patient load. You will be responsible for trach care, chest tube management, IV starts, and maintaining cardiac monitoring – with the added challenge of float responsibilities across all MedSurg/Telemetry units and some coverage in the Emergency Department. Strong assessment skills, experience with IV drips like insulin and heparin, and proficiency in tele monitoring are essential. This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced interdisciplinary teams in a busy, team-oriented setting.
