Job Description:

This 13-week contract calls for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to work rotating 12-hour night shifts, providing critical support in adult intensive care and emergency settings. The role involves managing ventilators such as the Hamilton VENT and Servo-U, performing ABG sampling, and assisting with airway management procedures like intubation, extubation, and suctioning. You will contribute to patient assessments, pulmonary hygiene, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms on a variety of ventilatory equipment. The ideal candidate will seamlessly switch between acute care and long-term care environments, ensuring optimal respiratory support for patients with diagnoses like CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and respiratory failure. Expect to work every other weekend, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours, and to be ready to respond to night call shifts as needed.
