Job Description:

This NICU registered nurse opportunity places you in a 70-bed, level II children's hospital with a prestigious level IV NICU. You will be responsible for caring for high-risk newborns, including premature infants as early as 22 weeks gestation, those with respiratory needs like vents and NCPAP, and surgical patients. The role involves managing unique cases such as HIE, NAS, and high-risk deliveries, often in private rooms designed for specialized newborn care. The shift is 12 hours overnight, with a flexible schedule that may include occasional floating to the ER as a sitter. The assignment highlights the importance of a friendly attitude and a minimum of two years' experience in Level III-IV NICU environments. Precise skills include respiratory support, trach care (highly preferred), med administration, and care planning. The hospital's flow often includes emergency high-risk labor, making this a compelling assignment for a travel nurse eager to experience a vibrant pediatric setting.
