Job Description:

This PICU Registered Nurse contract offers a hands-on opportunity to work across varying acuity levels in a 24-bed unit, covering Neonatal Intensive Care to general pediatric patients. You will be engaged in tasks beyond patient care, including repositioning, bathing, assisting with transport, ambulation, meal support, and medication administration within your scope. The role involves a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, scheduled over 13 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Expect to be a rover nurse, supporting multiple inpatient units and working flexible schedules with mandatory weekend shifts. Experience at a Level I Trauma Center with at least two years in PICU is required, and Epic charting proficiency is essential. Holiday work is expected, specifically two out of three major holidays. This position provides a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact critically ill children while enjoying the unique rhythms of night duty in a vibrant hospital setting.
