Job Description:

Join a hospital's Medical Surgical team in Mountain Home, Idaho, for an engaging 13-week travel contract as an RN. In this role, you'll work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with responsibilities spanning a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics. You'll manage common diagnoses like pneumonia, CHF, COPD, post-operative care, and pediatric bilirubin concerns. The unit typically maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6, with support staff including nurse aides and remote telemetry techs. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Expect to assist with various titratable IV drips like insulin and antibiotics, occasionally take charge or precept, and float to other units like L&D or ED when needed. The hospital offers two days of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor, and scheduling allows shift swaps. This assignment offers a weekly gross estimated pay of approximately $1,969.46, based on 36 hours each week. The hospital is located within a 50-mile radius, so candidates outside this range are preferred.
