Job Description:

This occupational therapist position offers a rewarding contract opportunity in Shreveport, LA, where you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team managing a variety of patient cases. Expect to assist patients across inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings, helping with activities of daily living, managing caseloads independently, and applying your expertise to spinal cord injuries, strokes, orthopedic surgeries, neuro diagnoses, and more. You'll be part of a team that values collaborative care, and you'll have the chance to navigate advanced EMR systems like Meditech Expanse and Wellsky. The role includes an 8-hour shift schedule, with no weekend coverage typically, and a total weekly commitment of 40 hours over a 13-week period. This assignment stands out for its diversity of cases and the supportive department environment, including supervision from experienced managers and assistant directors.
