Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting in Bossier City, Louisiana. As a Registered Nurse, you'll manage patients with conditions such as CVA and TIA, perform critical duties including CVL management, Foley catheter care, tube feedings, arterial lines, and diabetes management. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, float across stepdown and med-surg units, and support a team with a charge nurse and resource personnel. The role involves passing an EKG competency exam prior to start, and adherence to PPE and professionalism standards. You'll experience a schedule with rotating weekends, holiday work, and the opportunity for time off requests within specified limits. This assignment offers an authentic experience of acute care nursing outside the typical hospital environment, with a focus on skill application and unit support.
