Job Description:

Join a busy ICU team as a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a mixed unit consisting of MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods, handling complex patient cases such as post-surgical, trauma, cardiac, neuro, and medical patients. Expect to manage a variety of conditions, including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and COVID, with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3. You will be responsible for ventilator management, proning, IV medications, hemodynamic lines, and telemetry, utilizing Epic electronic health records. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, with a 48-hour weekly commitment. Prior ICU experience of at least 2 years excluding travel is required, and experience with Advanced Practice certifications like Impella, IABP, or CRRT is highly preferred. You will work alongside a team of nurses, CNAs, RTs, physicians, and other specialists in a fast-paced setting that demands strong critical thinking and teamwork. The assignment includes hospital and unit orientation, and the facility prefers travelers with prior travel experience, living at least 100 miles away from the hospital. Completion of required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC is mandatory before start.
