Job Description:

This ICU RN contract offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work in a mixed-unit ICU with 39 beds encompassing MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods. The role involves managing patients with complex conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and trauma, with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. You will perform ventilator management, medications including vasopressors and sedatives, and participate in proning and hemodynamic monitoring. Epic experience is required, and familiarity with units like Impella, IABP, or CRRT is highly preferred. The schedule involves 12-hour night shifts, with a commitment of 48 hours per week over 13 weeks. Expect a team-oriented environment supported by nurse aides, resource nurses, RTs, and intensivists. Prior ICU experience, especially in cardiac or trauma, is essential, and certification in TNCC, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS is mandatory.
