Job Description:

This ICU RN contract in Rapid City offers an engaging opportunity to work within a 39-bed mixed ICU, including MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods. You'll manage a patient load with acuity levels ranging from surgical to trauma and neuro cases, navigating complex diagnoses like ARDS, MI, CVA, and trauma-related conditions. Your role involves ventilator management, hemodynamic line care, IV medication administration, proning, and potentially working with Impella, IABP, or CRRT devices. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, totaling 48 hours weekly over a 13-week assignment. This role emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and adapting to a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to precept students and float within the adult hospital floors as needed. Experience with Epic, IV medications, and critical care procedures is essential, and prior ICU travel experience is required.
