Job Description:

Join a reputable teaching hospital in Concord, NC, for a 13-week travel contract as a Med/Surg RN. This role offers the chance to work primarily during 12-hour night shifts, managing a variety of patient cases such as small bowel obstructions, general surgeries, bariatric procedures, and orthopedic injuries. The hospital has a 32-bed unit and handles a diverse patient population, providing a well-rounded experience for RNs comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Expect to utilize skills like chest tube management, wound care, PIV access, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. The facility emphasizes team collaboration, with support from charge nurses, resource nurses, RT, hospitalists, intensivists, and remote telemetry monitoring. Floating within the region is required to meet staffing needs, covering several facilities. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are essential. The schedule includes every other weekend, 75% holiday rotation, and a flexible RTO policy.
