Job Description:

Join a dedicated Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing team at a hospital in Massena, NY, for an engaging 13-week travel assignment. This role involves running 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis. You'll be managing patients with conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule outs, utilizing your skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and respiratory support. The unit maintains nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 during days, 1:7 at night, and 1:8 on weekends, offering a balanced blend of patient care and autonomy. Your responsibilities will include administering blood products, managing central and peripheral lines, starting IVs, and supporting patients with BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and oxygen therapy. Epic experience is required, and a minimum of two years of relevant experience is necessary. This position accepts non-local travelers from over 50 miles away seeking a stimulating nursing experience in a supportive environment.
