Job Description:

This Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position in Charlotte, NC, offers a fast-paced, high-volume environment where you'll handle an average of 20 births and numerous high-risk obstetrical cases each day. The shift is scheduled for 12-hour nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a 36-hour weekly commitment over a 13-week contract. Double labor assignments happen daily, and experience with over 300 births per month is a must to keep pace with the unit's rapid rhythm. You'll need current certifications in BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP, along with circulating and immediate newborn care skills. This unit doesn't allow for RTO post-booking and requires full dedication during shifts. It's an excellent opportunity for experienced travelers comfortable with high acuity, demanding workloads, and the hustle of a busy maternity center.
