Job Description:

This 13-week contract in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PCU) offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, specialized environment. You will be responsible for managing adult patients with diagnoses such as cardiac conditions, dialysis, cancer, vascular issues, sepsis, stroke, and renal failure. Your day-to-night shifts will involve titrating critical drips like Heparin and Dopamine, interpreting telemetry strips, and collaborating with a skilled team including charge nurses and patient care techs. Expect to be adaptable and proactive in a setting that emphasizes patient experience and communication. The role requires maintaining certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and being competent with equipment including arterial lines and ventilators. The unit serves a diverse patient population, primarily Hispanic and Somali, emphasizing cultural sensitivity.
