Job Description:

This Registered Nurse position in the Operating Rooms at a busy Maine hospital offers a rewarding chance to work with a variety of surgical cases, including general, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, gynecology, and orthopedics. You'll be performing circulating duties for open, laparoscopic, trauma, and emergency cases, frequently after-hours or on call. The role involves supporting four ORs, using Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. Expect to handle around 10-12 surgeries daily, with about two weeks of orientation to get you up to speed. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday from 0630-1500, with weekend on-call rotations and after-hours coverage. This assignment is perfect for experienced RN professionals comfortable with trauma and emergency surgeries, with the opportunity to return to the hospital for a six-week contract.
